The Relationship
Each Senior Artist is paired with one Junior Artist selected and supported by VŌS. The Junior Artist receives mentorship and real-world experience while also providing support within the workspace.
You mentor and set the standard. You do not hire, manage, or pay anyone — VŌS handles all of that.
Details
VŌS is a private Senior Artist program in New York. Established independent professionals keep their own clients, brand, and service revenue while practicing inside a fully supported environment — in exchange for mentoring one assigned Junior Artist. VŌS provides the space, the operation, and the Junior Artist program around you.
Established independent beauty professionals — senior stylists, suite renters, and experienced artists with their own clientele and reputation in New York. It is designed for professionals who have already built their practice, not for those still building one.
No. There is no rent, no utilities, and no operational overhead. The workspace and the operation around it are provided and maintained for you.
Yes, entirely. Your clients remain yours. VŌS never inserts itself between you and the clients who follow your name.
Yes — 100% of the revenue from your own services. VŌS takes no commission and no cut of the work you perform for your own clients.
Mentorship, technical guidance, professional oversight, and a standard for one assigned Junior Artist, on a light weekly cadence. There is no management, hiring, payroll, or administration involved — you remain a working artist.
No. You mentor and set the standard; you do not manage them as an employee. VŌS handles recruiting, scheduling, and program management. The relationship is guidance, not supervision of staff.
VŌS does. VŌS recruits, places, supports, and compensates the Junior Artist. The Senior Artist carries none of that responsibility or cost.
Mentorship and real-world experience alongside an established professional, plus the full support structure VŌS provides — and compensation (see below). The aim is to develop them toward professional independence over time.
Junior Artists receive $17/hour base compensation, 30% commission on services personally performed, and 100% of tips earned.
The initial structure is one Junior Artist assigned to one Senior Artist.
They may move into chair rental, revenue-share opportunities, advanced development, or future Senior Artist opportunities within the VŌS ecosystem.
The Senior Artist relationship is structured as an independent, non-employment arrangement: you continue operating your own practice and retain your own clients and service revenue. Final classification, terms, and agreements for every role will be defined through proper legal and operational review before anything is finalized. The specifics are confirmed in a private conversation.
